Chapter 13. Maintaining Data

Moving data from one database server to another is a very common task in a production environment and in almost every phase of the development cycle. For example, a developer may want to export data from a production database and load it into her tables for testing. In a production environment, a database administrator may want to export a few tables from production to a test database server to investigate a performance problem.

DB2 provides a number of utilities so that you can accomplish these tasks very easily. We will introduce each utility and discuss different options supported.
