5.8. Summary

This chapter discussed the DB2 environment and its environment variables and DB2 profile registry. It explained how to list the contents of environment variables and how to modify them either temporarily or permanently.

It also described how to manipulate the DB2 profile registry variables with the db2set command. The different levels of the DB2 profile registry were explained, as well as the priority that DB2 takes into consideration when the same variable is set at different levels.
