Some very important basics

As we shall see, body language is not necessarily causal. In a causal relationship ‘if A then B’ is the result. Hit a golf ball and it will travel in a set direction, reflecting the angle at which the ball was struck, with the distance covered depending on how hard the ball was hit. Causal relation only operates with inanimate objects; in contrast, in body language, just because someone does ‘A’ it cannot always be interpreted that ‘B’ will automatically follow; there are many variables and contexts that make up the ‘A’ in the equation, including the way you react to ‘A’.
