About the Authors

Veena Hingarh is a professor and joint director of South Asian Management Technologies Foundation, an institution focused on research and training in the area of risk management, with a special focus on finance and information technology. She is a chartered accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and earned a master’s degree in science from the University of Calcutta. Hingarh is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and is an information systems auditor, certified by ISACA. Her primary area of research is financial information systems and their integration with International Financial Reporting Standards.

In addition, Hingarh has been involved with strategic consulting and training in her area of specialization and has served as a guest lecturer in various courses and professional workshops organized by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, George Washington University (with the Institute for International Research of Dubai), the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, and other institutions.

Arif Ahmed is a professor and director of South Asian Management Technologies Foundation.
