The law as it applies to specifically to penetration testing in the US is not as onerous as in the UK. However, there are a few things you should be aware of. We cover the following legislation:
The Computer Fraud and Abuse Act.
The Electronic Communications Privacy Act.
Laws relating to the regulation of business practices.
