The Concepts

The following UML, object-oriented, and other concepts are cited in this chapter. For a more complete discussion and more rigorous definitions of UML concepts, refer to Booch et al. [1999].

Statechart— a diagram that shows the dynamic behavior of a class

Control class— an active class that controls the behavior of one or more other classes

Passive class— a class that is not active and does not embody any control of the system
