Leaving your last job

It’s perfectly possible that your new job may be your very first job – or that you are currently unemployed. However, many of my readers will have to face the prospect of how to handle their resignation from their current job in order to take up the new one.

There are of course various different ways of approaching the resignation process, some right and some wrong. You might have decided to leave your current employer but it never hurts to leave them with a positive impression of you.

There are only two points you really have to get across when resigning:

1  the fact that you’re resigning;

2  your acceptance that you are (probably) bound by a notice period.
