Install Other Components

You have installed the SDK starter package, which includes the latest version of the SDK Tools. However, to develop an Android application, you need at least one Android platform and its associated platform tools. You can also add other useful components and platforms at the same time. To do this, you use the Android SDK and AVD Manager.

You can do this in Eclipse from the menu at Window, Android SDK and AVD Manager.

You can also do this from the command line by entering the android-sdk-linux_x86/tools directory and entering android.
