STRUCTURED PLAY. Since 1997, Martin Venezky has operated the San Francisco-based Appetite Engineers, a small, yet internationally recognized design firm. Despite the somewhat experimental appearance of his work, he has managed to complete projects for clients such as the Sundance Film Festival, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Reebok, and such publishers as Harry Abrams, Simon & Schuster, Princeton Architectural Press, and Chronicle Books. Venezky utilizes an intricate and complex creative process with exchanges between media where drawing, collage, photography, and sculpture all come into play.
