WAYFINDING AND DISPLAY TYPOGRAPHY. Typography used for wayfinding and exhibition can mystify a novice. The morass of fonts at our disposal transforms these design jobs from the purely functional into the creative and expressive. The Parks Canada Design Guidelines for Media Accessibility helped bring about a rational set of instructions and was adopted by the prestigious Smithsonian Institute, which continues to share the information at its online portal. High-contrast fonts, such as Bodoni Regular, do not contain a dense enough color for readers to distinguish one letter from another.
