Working with the Queue

The Tumblr Queue lets you publish your posts automatically, multiple times per day, between specified hours. This technique helps keep your blog active even when you’re sleeping or otherwise engaged, ensuring that your visitors see a regular stream of activity.

Click the Queue button on the Dashboard sidebar to view the Queue page. At the top of the page are three settings to control the publishing frequency of the queued posts, as shown in Figure 5-3:

check.png Times per day: Select the number of times per day your blog will automatically publish posts in the Queue. The default is set to 2, and the maximum number you may select is 50.

check.png Post between: Queued posts are published automatically between the specified start and stop times indicated here. For example, you can choose a full 24-hour range by selecting 12:00 a.m. from the Start menu and 12:00 a.m. from the End menu.
