Tim, the coach, had briefed Brad, the general manager, on the importance of management support. Brad had done an excellent job of explaining the importance of the project in meeting 1 and had told Tim and Valery, the team leader, to call on him if they had any problems. Then, later in the afternoon of the first day, he stuck his head into the meeting room to see how everything was going.

While Tim had been able to get Brad’s conference room for the opening and closing management meetings, he was only able to arrange for a small conference room for the rest of the week.
