Chapter 12. Challenging a Trusted Platform

Chapter 11 discussed how to create a chain of trust within a TP, and how third party certification enables other people and machines to establish trust in such a platform. Enabling an entity to establish some trust in the information provided by a platform about itself provides a means to make a decision about whether or not it should continue interacting with that platform in order to accomplish a specific task. Most of the time (in the TCPA world), this entity is a remote machine or device that needs to interact with the TP.
