Transactional trust is a mutual exchange; it is reciprocal and is created incrementally over time. In other words, you’ve got to give trust to get it. There are three types of transactional trust: contractual trust, communication trust, and competence trust. Each type is associated with specific behaviors that build and sustain relationships in the workplace.
