In this chapter, you will dig deeper into the Configuration Manager client itself and try to understand what makes up the client and how it works. We will look further at the client log files and see what we should typically expect to be looking at in a working and nonworking installation. Then we will look at the various options available for installing the client as this can be a simple but important step in getting the right configuration for the client to work successfully. Finally, armed with this knowledge, we can then start to understand what the common problems can be with clients and how we can typically resolve these.
