Troubleshooting tools
Neutron is incredible, powerful, and extensible. It supports plugins for dozens of backends, but the two most commonly installed backends are Open vSwitch and Linux Bridge. As a result, you can take advantage of many of the common Linux troubleshooting tools when working with Neutron. In this section, we'll cover some of the basic Neutron troubleshooting tools, including ovs-vsctl
and iproute2
.
ovs-vsctl
This is used to configure and query Open vSwitch. This tool can be very useful when troubleshooting Neutron networks that leverage Open vSwith. For example, to see the contents of the configuration database, we can use the ovs-vsctl show
