Summary

In this chapter, we dived deeply into Docker registry. We started with the basic concepts of a Docker public repository using Docker Hub and the use-case of sharing containers with a larger audience. Docker also provides the option to deploy a private Docker registry that we looked into and that can be used to push, pull, and share the Docker containers internally in the organization. Then, we looked into tagging and ensuring the integrity of Docker containers by signing them with the help of a Notary server, which can be integrated with Docker Engine.
