A Process for Product Development

This article describes a process for product development with depth to enable the understanding of activities by which marketing and service work with engineering and management. Processes for advanced product planning and for technology development are also described to characterize the work prior to the beginning of product development. These processes are broadly applicable to a wide range of product types and development projects. Many of the activities and deliverables can be enhanced by the application of better tools and methods.
