Extending ECM with Web 2.0 Technologies

The primary role of ECM in an Enterprise 2.0 strategy is to be a repository for the unstructured content created by whatever new systems that your enterprise adopts. Some Web 2.0 applications are a natural extension of what ECM does, and thus should be tightly integrated. Other technologies have functionality that is far removed from the problem of storing unstructured content, so ECM’s role is more limited.
