Holly Roberts (b. 1951) earned her BFA at the University of New Mexico and her MFA at Arizona State University. While some artists apply handmade methods to explore the mutability of reality in the broadest sense, Roberts, who lived in the Zuni Pueblo during the 1980s, found that the Zunis’ shamanistic belief in multiple realities reinforced her own intuitive way of working.
