Tatana Kellner (b. 1950), who received her MFA in printmaking from RIT in 1974, powers her work by means of historical events that have formed her sense of self. Kellner, the daughter of Holocaust survivors, relied on artists’ books, drawing, papermaking, printmaking, and photography to create Fifty Years of Silence (1992–1994), a series of multimedia assemblages that reveal how the Holocaust affected her family and shaped her identity.
