Even when needs analysis suggests training is appropriate, too often the performance problem does not go away after training. An examination of the training field shows that the amount of training delivered is not slowing, yet the application of skills gained in training is not growing. So we must conclude that training and increased productivity do not necessarily go hand in hand. Becoming familiar with transfer of training can shed some light on this dilemma. We must begin making the transfer process work in order to increase organization performance.
