Applying the Benefits of Movement

We all have an innate need to move. That’s why we don’t like any activity or circumstance that forces us to sit, stand or interact statically with our environment. As children we dealt with the stress and frustration of confinement by “fidgeting;” now, as fully realized adults we still “fidget” and “squirm” to deal with inertia but in more socially accepted ways such as “fidgeting” endlessly with our smart phones during moments of inactivity, though pen and finger tapping, doodling, drawing, and talking are still commonplace.
