Chapter 7. Administering network policies

Network policies determine the conditions under which clients can connect to a network, either locally or through remote methods such as a Remote Desktop Gateway (RD Gateway) server or a Virtual Private Network (VPN) server. On networks with Windows Server 2012 deployed, these policies are hosted and configured on servers with the Network Policy Server (NPS) role installed. In this chapter, you’ll learn how to deploy and configure an NPS, configure different networks, and understand Network Access Protection (NAP) policies, as well as learn to configure and deploy the infrastructure required to support those policies.
