Development As Training

Another type of training system is a development system. Development differs from training in that in a development system you are preparing learners for new job responsibilities or new positions, not training them to fulfill the tasks of their current position. Development under this scenario might use the same series of training programs used year after year to develop employees for certain jobs in an organization. Management development programs are good examples of development training strategies, and they are an integral part of HR succession planning systems.
