How to Do Analysis—Tools and Techniques
Analysis tools abound, and you should be able to find an analysis tool for just about any purpose, ranging from assessing an individual’s readiness to learn to analyzing how closely an organization complies with its mission statement. (See the Additional Resources section for more on analysis.) ASTD offers a number of resources on the subject. You can also find Web-based assessment instruments that should be useful to you. The second book in this series, Training Design Basics (Carliner, 2003), is also a good resource for your analysis education.
