The first edition of Trend Following hit the streets in April 2004. Almost immediately, the book made a splash landing in the top 100 of all books available at Amazon.com. One hedge fund that I had never heard of bought 1,000 copies because they liked the message and wanted to use it as an educational tool. Another fund bought 3,000 copies. Quickly, the success of the book brought me in contact with an assortment of Wall Street professionals.
