“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
Once, when I was working with a financial company, the CEO had us all in a meeting to tell us he was upset that his sales team gave a great performance until the middle of July, when they all quit performing. He couldn’t explain it. I asked him if he had a built-in “season” like a competitor we both knew, and he replied, “No.” I told him that meant his sales team had built in its own season, because they needed rest in the middle of July.
