Dan Archdeacon [dan.archdeacon@uvm.edu] received his Ph.D. degree from The Ohio State University. He is currently a Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at The University of Vermont, where he has been for over twenty-five years. He was recently named a University Scholar in recognition of his contributions to discrete mathematics. His research interests focus on topological graph theory, but include all of graph theory, design theory, and combinatorics in general. For many years he was the primary Managing Editor of the Journal of Graph Theory.
