Real estate, bricks and mortar, property – whatever you want to call it – is the most emotive of all investment classes. Because we all need shelter and have a compelling desire to 'own' the home we live in, quite often real estate is approached in a less than dispassionate way.

Our view of property in the next ten years is largely coloured by the geographical location of our readers. The old adage about real estate that it is all about 'location, location, location' has never been more applicable than today – but in a different sense.

Today, a careful MACRO view of global property location is required.
