A3.4 Calculate Percentages for Nonmetric Items
We calculated percentages for each nonmetric item by counting the positive responses and dividing by the sample size. To calculate the percentage for Item 1.1 in column F, we formated an empty cell by selecting “Format,” “Number,” and “Percentage,” and entered “=COUNTIF(F2:F151,1)/150.” We revised this formula to calculate the percentages for all nonmetric responses (items S-4, 1.1–3.3, and 12–14 in columns E–R and BG–BI).
