Physicians and dentists are highly educated and rigorously trained health-care professionals. Because their time is limited and costly, they often delegate some of their responsibilities to other health professionals. Although they have less training, these people are qualified to efficiently perform certain tasks and procedures. This allows physicians and dentists to focus on diagnoses and treatment.
