RECYCLE AND RESALE

Think about your office. If it’s like most offices, opportunities exist for recycling. Here is a short list of items that you could recycle: copier paper, cardboard boxes, and aluminum cans as well as parts from copiers, microcomputers, and other office equipment.

Some firms recycle items like those above, not so much as to recoup expenditures but to raise funds for charitable causes. By doing so, the firm gains goodwill as well as money.

In addition to recycling, a firm can sell nondisposable items to recoup expenditures, such as furniture and equipment. It can sell these items to employees or to the public as well as give them to a charitable institution.
