Editing Oracle TNS Name Files

Any developer or DBA who works with multiple Oracle databases on many different servers will invariably end up at some point with a need to modify their Oracle TNS Names file. Some people will just open the file in a text editor and have at it. Others will use Oracle’s Java utilities: Net Manager and Net Configuration Assistant. But all these approaches require leaving TOAD. And as before, the new and basic idea is that TOAD should support the complete development life cycle—so that you never have to leave TOAD.
