Overview

You might want to extract data from Oracle for many reasons. You might be prepping data for an end-user’s spreadsheet application. This data might have special field delimiter requirements. You might be moving data between versions and instances of Oracle. You might be doing some kind of local backup of special data.

TOAD makes it easy to save data after viewing and export data using both the Oracle utilities and system flat files, with the following methods:

  • Save data out of data grid

  • Export data via Schema Browser

  • Export table data

  • Export table data as a flat file

  • Use the Export Utility Wizard
