Summary

This chapter covered those database administrative tasks that are considered non-routine. These are the tasks that DBAs need to do weekly, monthly, or infrequently. But all these tasks are nonetheless quite important, such as creating new databases, comparing schemas for differences, or mining redo log files. And without TOAD, these tasks would be very time-consuming for even the most experienced DBA.

The next chapter covers TOAD database reporting capabilities. It covers both TOAD’s traditional and new HTML reports.
