Setting Up Source Control

Source code control allows for a systematic approach to ensure that only one person is making changes to the code at a time. These systems also provide other benefits such as security (only certain people can access certain code), code change tracking, and so on.

TOAD supports many source code control systems. Check the TOADSoft.com site for a complete list of source code control systems supported.

It is easy to set up source code control with TOAD. Make sure your source code control software is installed and working properly. Then go to the Source Control category of the TOAD Options screen and fill in your options as illustrated in Figure 4.63.
