Summary

This chapter covered basic TOAD setup and configuration steps necessary to successfully utilize the product. Although a few of these topics are quite basic and remedial for some users, other topics are much less obvious—although they can have a profound effect on how you use TOAD. People experiencing problems using TOAD often learn the hard way that they’ve simply failed to run some of the configuration scripts provided and discussed in this chapter.

The next chapter introduces TOAD’s Schema Browser, an Explorer-like interface for navigating and managing all of your database objects.
