Saying “No” to interruptions

Did you know that on average someone is interrupted from their work every seven minutes? This could be because of the phone ringing, the email alert flashing on your computer screen, someone coming to speak to you, or many other causes. Do you find yourself working “in between disturbances”? Have you ever used the number of interruptions you’ve received as an excuse for not finishing a piece of work on time? Interruptions can account for about a quarter of your working day, which is fairly shocking. If you don’t know how to handle such hindrances to your progress, you will find it difficult to get on with important work that requires your full concentration.
