32Decide Who to Delegate To

Once you have gone through the process of picking and choosing which tasks on your massive to-do list can be passed on, the next question is to decide whom they should be delegated to. Remember that, although you may be ready and raring to download, not all staff members are willing or able to receive your requests. Part of your job is to pave the way for delegation by building up the other person’s skills (his or her ability) and by motivating him or her (his or her willingness) to take on the task.
