Philosophers and scientists have been trying to understand time since, well, time began. Just defining it is tricky enough. Some definitions are as simple as “a series of passing moments”; others are more complex, as in the one found on spacetodayonline, which reads: “A human perception defined as the length of an interval separating two points on a non-spatial continuum in which events occur in apparently irreversible succession from the past through the present to the future.”
