Things go wrong. And then we often lose time—or more. If we can anticipate possibilities, we can make plans and not lose as much.

Always assume that things will take longer than expected. Allow more time than you think you’ll need.

You can lose time at the worst moments if you run out of supplies. Stock critical items. Keep a running inventory. When you’re replacing an item, get extra—and restock several items at a time. Don’t risk running out.
