4.1. Creating a Decoy Administrator Account

This exercise shows you how to create a decoy administrator account using Windows NT 4 User Manager. This dummy account can be used as a honeypot to distract and potentially set off an alert if it is tampered with.

1.	When creating a dummy account, there are many ways to do it. The quickest and most effective overall is to just create another account and disable the existing administrator. Click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, point to Administrative Tools, and then click User Manager. Locate and click the administrator account.
