An overview of system monitoring tools
All versions of Spotfire create logs that can be analyzed, but Version 6.5 provides some new visual system monitoring tools. We'll take a quick look at the traditional logs and then move on to look at the new functionality in Version 6.5.
Spotfire server administrators can view the system logs via the administration console (http://<Spotfire server name>/Spotfire); a server admin account is needed to log in to the console, which also provides software deployment tools, so it may be tightly controlled by your IT department.
