However hard we try, a project we are working can go ‘pear shaped’: while we are in the midst of a major piece of drafting, the broadband connection goes down and we lose a chunk of work; we plan hard for a meeting which is cancelled at the last minute; we have worked hard to help a client, who then ignores what we say.
