Was It Good for You?

A couple of years ago I heard an interview with Warren Buffett, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, one of the wealthiest people and most successful investors on the planet. When asked how he decides whether to buy a business, he said, “We get a letter from someone, then we meet in person, which verifies and multiplies what I thought when I got the first letter.” Then he looks at this: “Did the meeting reinforce what I thought initially?”

In other words, he asks himself, Is this someone I want to be in business with? His decision is based on the experience he has with that person.
