#4: Don’t Wear Super-Short Skirts or Miniskirts

Miniskirts may go in and out of style over the years. But they have never been the right thing to wear to a job interview.

When Dallas-based writer Sami Swan Thompson worked for a small, conservative law firm, a young woman showed up to interview for a receptionist position in a tube top, miniskirt, flip-flop sandals, and a suit jacket.

“I suppose she thought that the suit jacket compensated for the rest,” Thompson says.
