#3: Don’t Talk About Money, Perks, and Other “What Will You Do for Me?” Items

“If the first question someone asks is, ‘How much vacation do we get?’ the interview is just about over,” says Allan Young, CEO of ShelfGenie.

Other turnoffs—especially in the first interview or communication—include these questions: How many hours a week am I expected to work [when it’s a salaried position]? Do we get free coffee?

For Rob Basso it’s also this one: How many sick days do you offer?
