About The Thinkers50

The Thinkers50 is the definitive global ranking of management thinkers. Its mission is to scan, rank, and share the best business thinking. First published in 2001, the Thinkers50 has been published every two years since then. The ranking was topped in 2011 and 2013 by Harvard Business School’s Professor Clayton Christensen. The previous winners were C. K. Prahalad (2009 and 2007), Michael Porter (2005), and Peter Drucker (2003 and 2001).

The ranking is based on voting at the Thinkers50 website and input from a team of advisors led by Stuart Crainer and Des Dearlove. The Thinkers50 has 10 established criteria by which thinkers are evaluated:

• Practicality of ideas

• Presentation style
