62. What Are Contacts and Can I Have Too Many?
As you begin to add contacts and start to network on the site, you see your number of connections starts to increase. This number increases until it hits 500. The displayed number of connections will never show more than 500. Yet, you can have an unlimited number of connections on the site. LinkedIn wants to discourage people from building up a large, unreasonable amount of connections made up of people that they do not know.
